Johanna Li started in publishing as an intern at Farrar, Straus & Giroux. She is particularly interested in works that explore ideas across genres, that make unexpected connections, and uncover hidden histories, including but not limited to narrative nonfiction; books about the arts, pop culture and cultural history; literary fiction; and biography & memoir.

During her time at S&S she has worked with a wide range of authors, including David Quammen, Robert Putnam, Scott Eyman, Judith Viorst, and Mario Livio.
