Public talks, panels, and discussions from the Roxbury International Film Festivals. When the Roxbury International Film Festival (RIFF) began in 1999, their goal was to celebrate films that were written, produced and directed by filmmakers of color. In addition, they hoped to provide a much-needed venue for audiences to view some of these inspiring films and interact with the filmmakers who created them. More than a decade later, they continue to build upon the rich legacy established for the international film and local arts communities. RIFF is the largest regional film festival of its kind. With each passing year, it has grown more powerful in its impact on film and the arts in New England and attracting filmmakers and audiences worldwide.
