Krista was a freelance foreign correspondent and diplomatic appointee in divided Berlin in the 1980s after graduating from Brown University. She received an M.Div. from Yale in 1994. Her latest book, Einstein's God, a New York Times bestseller, centers around her conversations with scientists and traces the way her journalistic and theological perspective continues to evolve. She is also the author of the 2007 memoir of religion in our time, Speaking of Faith - Why Religion Matters and How to Talk about it.
