Herbert P. Ginsburg is Jacob H. Schiff Foundation Professor of Psychology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. He holds a BA from Harvard University as well as an MS and PhD from the University of North Carolina.

He is the author of selected publications, including The teacher's guide to flexible interviewing in the classroom: Learning what children know about math, Entering the child's mind: The clinical interview in psychological research and practice, Children's Arithmetic and Piaget's Theory of Intellectual Development.
