New York Times bestselling children’s author Brian Lies hosts a celebration of the achievements of beloved author and illustrator Chris Van Allsburg.
Van Allsburg is a two-time Caldecott Medal winner for The Polar Express and Jumanji who received a Caldecott Honor for his first book, The Garden of Abdul Gasazi and the Regina Medal for lifetime achievement in children’s literature. During this event, Festival Ballet Providence brings Chris Van Allsburg's fairy tale to life with an excerpt from their ballet adaptation of the Van Allsburg story, The Widow's Broom.
