According to T. Anthony Perry, a literary scholar who has taught at both the University of Connecticut and Hebrew University in Jerusalem, there is no biblical book that has been so maligned and so poorly understood and so viciously used as the Book of Jonah. The author of The Honeymoon Is Over: Jonah's Argument with God presents an analysis of the Bible story, which he characterizes as a psychological drama between God and Jonah.
