Public Address by Gerry Adams

March 18, 2009
Gerry Adams president, Sinn Fein Party
Paula Dobriansky senior fellow, Belfer Center, Harvard

Gerry Adams speaks about the American foreign policy during the Clinton Administration, and shares his hope that the Obama administration will follow in the same footsteps. He notes that in the 1990s, before the peace in Northern Ireland was negotiated, there was little belief that a peace process would be successful. Adams, however, believed in peace and worked to prove that peace can always be successful.
