Paul Goodnight: Memorial for the Middle Passage

October 30, 2008

African cultural artist Paul Goodnight talks about the power of art and its ability to fight inhumanity, change perceptions, and heal old wounds. This is what a Boston monument memorializing the slave trade's "Middle Passage" could do for the world. Goodnight describes his vision for such a memorial, intended for one of the Boston Harbor islands.

This lecture is part of the 2008 IDEAS Boston conference.
