Ownership of Cultural Property

January 18, 2007
Bernard Margolis president, Boston Public Library
Richard Wendorf director, Boston Athenaeum
William Bulger former president, UMASS, MA State Senate

This series examines a number of issues that have long confronted the library world, and which hold implications for libraries for the future. Each program features two distinguished speakers, one of whom offers a historical perspective on the issue as it affected libraries (such as the Boston Athenaeum) during the 19th century; the second speaker addresses the issue from a contemporary vantage point. A moderated discussion follows.
