In her new book In Her Wake, Nancy Rappaport looks inward to explore her mother's suicide, when Nancy was four years old. Through interviews, newspapers, court depositions, her mother's papers, and her own memories, Dr. Rappaport seeks to understand her mother's life and her own effort to come to terms with her mother's death.
