Diabetes and New Research

Kathryn Lipson gives an overview of diabetes, describing the differences and similarities between Type I and Type II diabetes, suggested methods of prevention, and current techniques to reverse some of the effects of diabetes (i.e. blindness, organ failure).

Lipson, a graduate student at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, also covers some of the newest diabetes research, including her own studies into the effects of cell stress on insulin regulation in diabetics.
