Boston Lyric Opera’s General and Artistic Director Esther Nelson, Director of Artistic Operations Nicholas Russell, Director of Production Dan Duro and Carmen’s Stage Director Nicholas Muni share what it takes to get an opera to the stage, and discuss all that goes into creating a new production such as BLO’s Carmen.

After the discussion, Dana Beth Miller, who makes her Boston debut as Carmen, gives a mini-performance from BLO's new production.
