Ted Kennedy hosts a studio discussion revolving around the New Bedford, MA Immigration Worker Raid, which took place in March, 2007 at a New Bedford factory. The main topic of discussion is the need for reform of the US' immigration laws, with a focus on striking a balance between protecting national security, strengthening the economy, and insuring that the laws uphold the humanity and dignity of all who come to the US seeking a better way of life.

Also included in the program is a news package with interviews of workers who were present at the raid, and stories of the impact of the raid on families left behind when loved ones were temporarily taken to a detention center in El Paso, Texas.

Capitol Perspective is taped at the Emerson College television studios and airs on public access cable stations across the state.
